The Coconut Cultivation Board which consists of the Ministry of Plantation is comprised of 19 Regional Offices, which are the main institute for the extension of coconut cultivation in the country. This is a widespread wide spread network covering the entire island. The appointments were handed over to Plantation Industries Minister Navin Dissanayake recently. He recruited several posts including Coconut Development Officers, Coconut Development Assistants, Nursing Officers, Audio Visual Technological Assistants and Management Assistants.
Coconut Cultivation Board chairman Kapila Yakandawala and several executive officers were present at the ceremony. Appointments will be used after two weeks of continuous training. The seniors were promoted to two Senior Assistant General Manager posts who were in the clippings of Coconut Cultivation Board.
